About Us

ProsecutionAI was inspired by criminal prosecutor Mattia Corsiglia working with his father, tech entrepreneur Stan Murawski, a former software engineer with Microsoft and HPE. They set out to use AI to help prosecutors make better, fairer and more informed decisions when they charge criminal cases.

Recognizing the potential of AI, they envisioned a tool that could analyze police reports, reduce case backlogs, manage complex investigations, and review for bias to ensure fairer decisions. They understood that developing such an AI service was a difficult undertaking beyond the typical scope of a prosecutor’s office.

As a result, Stan built a team of highly experienced professionals committed to leveraging advanced technology to support justice and assist prosecutors in their critical work.

The Problem

Prosecutors and investigators are called on to move swiftly, avoid implicit bias, protect the public, hold the guilty accountable, and always seek the truth. Whether a case is assigned for vertical prosecution or distributed among a team on a rotating schedule, analyzing case files for issuing and preparation for general appearances is a critical bottleneck. The decrease in resources with an increase in amount of evidence (body camera recordings, audio files, email, cell phones, and social media, etc.) exacerbates these challenges.
